Digital Surrealism

My digital surrealism assignment I wanted to portray that the power of music can completely engulf the listener; music is used not just used for listening it can also be used for rehabilitation and learning. I find the many uses for music very fascinating.
With my digital surrealism I used two of my own pictures to create a Photoshop surrealism piece. I wanted to make my piece to represent how music can affect children, by making the music a cape and making the music notes toys, but then I realized if I was to look at this I would have no idea what the meaning of it is. So I thought the blanket was just as effective.
I used the same colour throughout; I really like how the white worked with the colour on the sheet and the background really made the piece unified. I was really happy the way my surrealism turned out.

PSA analysis

Check out this anti-war PSA

Here is my PSA on an anti-war promotion.
Oh and thank you Jessica, I found the requirements for this on your blog!
1. What is the main focus of the video?
The main focus of this video is trying to stop war. It is explaining the main reasons why there is war (the way I understood it): human rights, land, and money.
2. Describe how the video gets this point across.
I thought the way the message is portrayed is through silence, which is very effective, because if (in my instance) the sound doesn’t work, I still understood the message. It uses pictures to represent why wars can start and with every picture a word pops up on screen (We, Are, Ridiculous), Then the screen goes black and the words appear and WHY is in front of the three words. This PSA is m=not for a company it is just to show how war can affect or change different people.

3. What techniques are used in the video to help convince the viewer of the point of the video.
The music is one way that really changed the way I looked at it (after the sound was fixed) the music gets louder and faster the more serious the topic of war gets. When the knife came out I really wanted to see what the PSA would turn into, but it just “mocked” what real wars can be like.
